Our Weekend Services

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

Worship Services - 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM
Fellowship Time 9:45 - 10:00 (light breakfast served)

First time at SFUMC?

We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing... Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At SFUMC, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.

What You Can Expect

Our 8:45 a.m. worship service is a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Our 11:00 a.m. worship time is usually traditional in music. Both services are designed for the participant to encounter the Lord Jesus through song, prayer, affirmation of faith and biblical preaching.

Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services, but child care is provided for infants and preschoolers at both the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Children's church, is provided for elementary ages during both services as well. Children are released during the worship service before the message. We encourage you to trust your children to our dedicated and loving workers.

We require check-in for our younger children to enter the nursery area. We use a system called KidCheck. You can get more information about their product at kidcheck.com. If you will click HERE, you can set up your free and easy KidCheck account before you arrive. This will greatly simplify your check-in process and ensure your child's safety. Once you arrive, you'll enter your phone number that you used to set up the account. Select your child and enter the events that you will be attending. Then a label will be produced for the child listing allergies and pick-up instructions. You will also receive a receipt with a matching and child-specific, alpha numeric code. When returning, you will match the code with the code on your child's name badge. This code will be used to ensure you or a designated gaurdian are the only ones who can pick up your child.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) the first Sunday of each month. Children are encouraged to participate during this service and there is no children's church on these Sundays.

At Senatobia First United Methodist Church, we believe church comes down to loving God and loving people. We seek to bring people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another. We hope you’ll get to know us better. Feel free to contact us anytime, and, of course, we would love to have you as our guest in one of our worship services.
