Senatobia FUMC Staff & Leadership

The staff and leadership here at SFUMC is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. If you have questions for any of our staff, feel free to reach out and email them or call our church office to speak with them.

  • Tim Prather, Lead Pastor

    Tim has been a pastor for over 20 years, serving at Mullins UMC (Memphis), Tupelo First, Avon-Glen Allan, Purvis-Talowah, and New Albany First.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN, earned a master’s degree from Southern Miss, completed an M.Div. at Memphis Theological Seminary, and was awarded his doctorate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.  Tim is married to Cheryl, and they have two children, Jack and Caroline.  He is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, Wesleyan theology, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

  • Pat Ludlam, Pastor

    Pat has been a United Methodist pastor for over 40 years. Recently retired from full-time ministry, Pat serves in a part-time role within the congregation. He helps to lead in worship, provides pastoral care support, and teaches several small groups. Pat's contribution to the congregation through his wealth of experience and humble spirit is a blessing to our church.

  • Glenda Rhodes, Church TREASURER

    A native of Senatobia, Glenda has served as Office Manager since 1979. Her hobbies are quilting, sewing, gardening and horseback riding.

  • Emily Walker

    Children's ministries

    Emily has been serving the children of FUMC Senatobia for over a decade.  She has been a member of the Senatobia community for over 23 years.  Emily also serves as an educator for Senatobia Elementary School. She has been happily married to Alan Walker for 16 years; they have two precious children - Emma Grace, and Paxton.  Emily has a heart for children, and a deep desire to bring the love of Christ to the children of our community as well as those around the world.  Emily believes in our children, the future of our faith, and our ability as a body of believers to help all children develop a deep and lasting relationship with their Lord and Savior.

  • Mary Ann Walker
    Director of Music

    Mary Ann has been the Chancel Choir and music director since 1999 and a member of the Chancel Choir prior to that since 1970. Also a public accountant, she graduated from Delta State College with a degree in accounting.

     

    With a love for singing, she has been a member of high school and college choirs and the community choir, United Voices of Praise, and the singing group, MsSippi. She was the children’s and youth choir director before becoming the Chancel Choir director.

     

    She is married to Elwin Walker, a retired school administrator. They have three children and five grandchildren. Besides spending time with her family, her hobbies are reading, gardening and listening to music. She and Elwin enjoy taking trips to the mountains in Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama.

     

    She feels blessed to be the choir director and be allowed to choose and lead music that exalts and praises God.

     

  • Mary Day, Church secretary

    Mary is a graduate of The University of Memphis and has a background in communications and education. She lives in Senatobia with her husband,Troy, and their children Maggie and Harlan. Mary enjoys reading, antique and thrift shopping, spending time with her family, and connecting with people in the community.

  • Brenda Johnson

    Mrs. Brenda is an institution in our nursery. Her faithful service has enhanced the lives of all of our babies here at SFUMC. We are thankful for her contributions and know that you will love her too.

  • Jen erNSt

    Jen has served our church since 2019, beginning with children’s ministry, as well as and currently, in the nursery with Ms. Brenda. She originally from New Jersey, but has lived here for 6 years. From Jen, "I was saved & baptized a year after moving here. I see God everyday in the kids I get to serve and care for at SES (my 7th year) as a special Ed teaching assistant in Mrs. Emily’s class. I love animals & am a frequent pet sitter. I have 2 female cats, who are my babies.'
